How to Scratch
You describe what you want, and an artist interprets it their way. Once they accept, they have full creative reign. You get your art faster, they get to just create.
The Process
How Pricing Works
Each artist sets two prices on their profile: a minimum and a recommended price. The minimum is the lowest offer they'll accept. The recommended price reflects what they typically charge for a standard piece.
Before you make an offer, check out the artist's profile and past works. You'll get a sense of what they create at different price points.
For more complex requests (extra characters, detailed backgrounds, other additions), consider offering above the recommended price. Your offer signals the scope of what you're looking for.
No Revisions
The core of how Scratch works. No revision rounds means the artist can just create. No politics, no second guessing, no waiting on approvals. The result is art from the artist's natural creative process, priced lower and delivered faster.
Delivery Times
Artists can set their own estimated delivery times, but these are the hard platform deadlines. If either window passes, you automatically get a full refund. You can always check your request status on your dashboard.
Communication
Very little communication happens on Scratch, and that's the point. One question from the artist, then status updates and delivery. No unsolicited messages, no scope creep.
Everything happens on platform. Don't share personal contact info or take payments off Scratch.
Payments
You pay upfront when you submit. Your payment is held safely until the artist delivers, and you're covered if things don't work out:
